It gives me great pleasure to write a testimonial on behalf of Mr.Doug Williams. His sound advice, professionalism as well as his trades background and eye for detail where instrumental in helping me sell my house. I can honestly say that without Doug I would not have gotten the amount I did for my house. His initial walk through resulted in to-do list of what needed to be done. Most good realtors would do this, however Doug did not stop there! He volunteered his time and effort over several weekends to help me get the house ready. For instance we had an issue in the kitchen in which we were not able to find two matching doors for the cabinets. After numerous visits to cabinet places with Doug, he came up with a simple and inexpensive solution, why not turn these cupboards into a wine rack. This made a lot of sense and it gave an extra feature to the kitchen.
After several weekends of assisting me in getting the house ready(painting, window repairs etc) Doug brought in a professional photographer and floor plan specialist (all at his cost), which were the final touches needed to put the house on the market. The slide show and floor plans were superb, and I believe were responsible for the large turnouts we had. However, the house did not sell as quickly as I wanted and when everything seemed in despair, it is the behind the seen work that Doug does that I believe sets him apart from most realtors! Doug’s attention to detail proved to be the winning touch. After all the showings, Doug would record the information of interested parties, often sending them updates. This untiring work ethic proved very useful for Doug remembered one interested group that really liked the house but were afraid to get into a bidding war! He immediately contacted the realtor of those buyers and this resulted in my house being sold. I would like to thank Doug for his work and I would not hesitate to hire him again.

As you enter the Vancouver realty market (either as a vendor or a buyer) you will need to have someone on your side – someone to help you through the maze of open houses and decisions to be made. Doug has been that person to me and I thank him for all his efforts.
My family and I recently moved to Vancouver from England. Prior to our move I made a visit to Vancouver to scout out the market and conduct some due diligence in regards to schools and areas of Vancouver that would suit my family’s needs. Even though I was not in the position to purchase during that time, Doug was very hospitable and accommodating. He took me on a tour of the city and arranged for me to view some properties so that I had a clear idea of what was on the market in the different areas. Building practices and property purchase systems are very different between England and Canada and so even though we were not first time home owners, it felt like that when we arrived here. There were so many things to know and look for that I am convinced we would not have had the relatively stress-free purchasing experience we had without Doug helping us out.
Subsequent to our initial purchase, Doug has since helped me to purchase another property. Again, due to my personal circumstances, Doug went out of his way to assist me in locating a perfect property to suit my needs.
